Default Mystery F18

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know who makes or made this model so i can get some info on it please. I am told it may be the ok models F18. It is all composite but seems really haevy with a span of 42" length 55" and airframe alone weight of 6.2 lbs. It has outlet ducting with a 120mm diameter so does this mean a 90 size fan has been used in it?

Cheers
steve

Holly cow!!!!! I have this plane and have almost finished it for a ramtech fan. I could not find out who makes it either and would love to know. I know this is no help but it is a cool plane. It took lots of work to make mods to it but so far it all works.

Mines a bit tatty but i got it for a good price..£20..lol...but it needs to have some weight shaved off it so if you have any suggestions for mods to save weight it would be very helpfull. Is the ramtech for a .91 size engine? Whats weight of yours so far? Might go electric if i can get the weight down.

Cheers

I got mine with the fus only. I made new formers and cut the wings out of foam. I did the normal balsa skins and glass cloth with resin. I will weigh it and let you know how much it is. The fan is for a K&B 100 (got it at a good price) but an OS 91 is a great fit.

Cheers jaberwalky, think that foam wings are the way to go. HET make an F18 of similar size. They may do me a set of wings or i may send them off to have foam cores made. I will also have to lighten the formers.

All very helpfull cheers
