Default E-Flite F-15 HELP!

Hi all!

I need some help/advice from those who know....

I need to know if I have a workable setup for a new EDF jet. Allhardware I plan to getfrom hobbyking.com.

Fan unit: 7 blade 2.5" 64mm Part number: 0R003-00108-7B
Battery: Rhino 2250mah 3S1P 11.1v 25c OR 2200mah 4S1P 14.8v 25c
Speed Control: Turnigy Sentry 40amp
Motor: HXT 2835 3900kv
Says motor is good up to 12v, but will 14.8v really be a bad idea for it??

They will be mounted in Eflite's F-15 twin, so there will be two of everything.
What I want is a setup that has plenty of power for as close to unlimited vertical as I can if that's even possible.
Any idea on what I can expect for thrust with this setup?

Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

You'll probably find that the 4s lipo will be too much for the speedo to handle....... 60 amp speedos would be better. The motor, given adequate cooling will probably be fine with 4s, but to be perfectly honest, it will last a whole lot longer on 3s voltages and resulting current draw from the 7 blade fan unit. A three blade fan unit would probably be better if you really want to go for 4s. The new DF15 units with their new motors from eflie are a perfect match for the F15, and even tho they are pricey, are well worth the money due to the fact that they are hassle free and work exceptionally well....... even at 4s voltages

Actually it's the Delta-V 480 that works well with the F-15 (EFLDF480). The Delta-V 15 is a 69mm unit, but the F-15 is built for 65mm fans.
