Default where to get models?

Hi guys

i'm flying in Denmark and has recently crashed my Graupner Trainer 400.
I made a beautiful loop with ½ throttle, and in the last quarter of the loop,
my wings decided to split down the middle. maybe i added to much G-force to the old girl?

anyway i bought this Eurofighter Typhoon at www.hobbyfly.com,
and it moves like a dream.

but know i have fallen in love with the Saab Draken,
and the F-16 fighting falcon.

any of you guys, that have an good idea where to gets such planes?
i prefer sizes from 150 cm of length and upwards.

it does not matter whether i have to purchase them in Uk, US, china or such places.

Hi Kdurup -

All I can offer you is some negative advice;
Buy only from those who you know Have integrity.
I went to a fine looking website that advertised all kinds of jet models and turbine engines. I made my choice
of a Fei Bao F-22 with retracts, then started the check-out procedure, name, address, shipping choice,
you know all the stuff.[8D] When it came time to pay for the goodies there was only 2 choices.

Postal Money Order or

PayPal

There was no option to pay by Credit Card of any kind. This raised a caution flag for me, I should have stopped right there.

But that F-22 looked really good so, impetuous dummy that I am, I paid by PayPal, all $1700. of it.
Here I am almost 2 months later - No model, no promises or communications answered, and no money.[]

I hope no others fall into this trap like I did.

Hi Kdurup -

If I give you their name, they could just have my post deleted and that would be the end of it.

Also, they can change their name and escape bad press that way.

Better to describe their operation, and if you see a website that fits the description or is very similar,
you will know to be cautious.

Probably the biggest clue, which was not revealed until the very last part of the buying operation, was
that they do not accept any Credit Cards.

PayPal IS accepted, but PayPal does not investigate any transactions that are more than 30 days old.
The website specifies a waiting time of 4 weeks for delivery, so a guy waits his 4 weeks, and by the
time he gets worried enough to complain to PayPal their 30 days has passed and they do not take
any remedial action. Neat Huh?

We shall see . . . I have a NEW promise from this vender. Will give him the chance to do things right, and I will post the results.

Should not have to fight for justice.

Well, the problem I was having has been fixed by the distributor. I didn't get the airplane I ordered, but I did get a satisfactory replacement. Guess the model airplane business is more turbulant than I thought.
