[X(] Reviewing the safeness of 3M spray adhesive for foam. If and when I find the link, I will bring it here.[X(]:)
ORIGINAL: linkadrip I have 3M Super 77 Multipurpose adhesive spray i havent used it on any foam yet. So i should test it out on some foam before using it or just go and find the minwax polycrilic spary and treat the foam then i can use the 3M adhesive without any worry of melting the foam.? |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Hello, Have you maid one with three angines??? [X(] WOW, do you have more pics of it? I have always dreamd of an EDF model with three engines like the MD 11 or DC 10 or even better the Lockhead :)
Pleas post more pics! Thanks Lars Norway! |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
ORIGINAL: ElectricFlyGuy This 3M Adhhesive spray should NOT hurt any material that is is sprayed on, definately not foam. This is regulary used by most foamie builders for skinning their planes. If it won't hurt foam then. it should not hurt any styrene, or any plastics either. Good luck, and keep us posted( and with pics if possible). take care, Scott;) ORIGINAL: linkadrip I have 3M Super 77 Multipurpose adhesive spray i havent used it on any foam yet. RE: EDF Airliner build thread
WOWOW, That is really neat Ian. Sign me up for one! I know you want to see pictures of my 777. Ill get them soon, but That model looks so scale. Amazing work. Ill take one for sure! I better finish building my 307 before they start putting up buildings in my flying field. I have purchased all of Ians kits. Really like the technology. Great stuff. Wish I worked as fast as Ian, id be flying by now.

RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Hello Kaltag
Thank you for the very kind comments. The 309 maiden is complete. A few circuits because of a trimming problem, but otherwise handles well. The C of G was very close to spot-on. Rear retract units handled take-off and landing well, although there was no gear up in the flight because of the trimming issue. A pre-production price offer now on website. Video to follow. RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Hello Ian
I was wondering if you will be replacing the 301 with a much bigger version like you did with the 303 and 307 Cameron |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Cameron
At stage I am afraid the answer is no. If I ever were, probably be tempted to do the classis version -the 200 series with low mounted engines. Ian. |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Ian
that sounds awesome and when i was reading another forum from you i noticed that there was some mention about an airbus a320 or somehting and i was wondering about that too. Cameron |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Cameron
Cheers Still pretty busy here with the 309. Not quite sure what the future holds. Ian. |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Ian
Fair enough just thought i would mention it because all your models resembel boeings as 301=737 303=777 305=learjet 307=777 and 309=dc-10 and i thought it might be nice to see and airbus in the mix aswell. Also i was wondering if Larry Lewis had fixed his 307 after that first flight crash. Cameron |

ORIGINAL: lslewis alastur - Fantastico! How did you do it? Hurricane Larry What do you refer the airplane or the "real engine" device? regards |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Both!
Specifically the electronics. I liked it and would like to duplicate your setup. Larry |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Specifically the electronics. I liked it and would like to duplicate your setup. This is my "Real Engine" sound device, it has 20 different engine sounds proportional to the engine stick and 35 sound effects in 5 galleries of 7 sounds each one. it is controlled by a receiver in the same frecuency than the airplane you are flying and you can plug it to earphones or a amplifier(to a crowd exhibition). http://www.telecable.es/personales/l...al_engine0.jpg Here is another video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaNVwn4jt7U Although the commentaries are in spanish, you can hear the sound engines and the sound effects perfectly. It is developed with a pic microcontroller a little amplifier, a sd/mmc memory card and a 500 lines source code program to controll all. In this moment this device isn't still in the market. If you want more info, let me know |
RE: EDF Airliner build thread
Thank You,
When it is available for sale in English please let me know. Larry |
