new to electric's
in thnking of trying electic for a new model of mine that im gona build, thie thing is that I have no experiances with this before. im an Ic man. from what i cn see is that there is a speec controler tht can also power the RX and servos, but can you power 4 motors off 1 speed condtoler?? what do i need to look out for. any usefull tips would be helpful. thank you in advnce darv

I am pretty sure you can, just as long as the ESC is rated high enough for the current draw of 4 motors. Now, If you want to control each motor independently, then you will need 4 ESCs. You are correct when you say that the reciever runs off the ESC. All you have to do is plug the ESC into the throttle port on your reciever, and away you go. And since I am not an expert when it comes to all of the electrical stuff, I am not sure how to calculate the motor and ESC combo you would need. I would go to the motor and ECS forum in the electrics section to get answers to that. By the way, what kind of plane are you building?

at the moment i have a guillows B-17, was thinkin of 2 Norvel 0.049's throtteled but little weighty, so elec i thik thank you for the help, much apreshiated, darv
