this is just a though ..but was wondering if other people on here thought it would be a good idea to have a thread just dedicated to r/c planes that are definitely not good for beginners to purchase based on their inability to fly correctly ..whether its due to c/g,underpowered or just bad construction..etc...and this thread could be posted at the top of the forumn {like the "Good begginers thread is"} ..the reason im suggesting this is because I see so many reviews/posts by people who bought megatech planes {or are gonna buy megatech planes based on their lack of knowledge or because someone mistakenly recommended them to buy that plane} and the OVERWHELMING majority of these people cannot get the planes to fly..and if they do..they seem to fly poorly and even thats only after doing alot of modifications {which surely a newbie shouldnt have to worry about} ..now I dont neccesarilly mean this thread would have to include all r/c planes that do fly well but are for intermediate/advanced flyers.this thread would be just for the really crappy ones that are overpriced and easily avialable on the r/c market..having the thread at the top of the forumn would make it so much easier for a newbie to find this info too.I think this is important because earlier this year I almost made the mistake of buying a Megatech AIRSTRIKE..and im quite certain if I did..I may not have continued with this hobby...I just think its a shame that this brand of plane has such a bad reputaion ...and probably persuades a lot of newbies who buy it..to quit the hobby because of frustration and their wasted money..Im not even sure if the electronics in these planes are industry standard and reusable..so in essence its a Double whammy to the newbie..if im correct..I believe alot of the megatech planes are over $150.00 in price..and with so many great begginers planes that fly right out of the box for less then that {T-HAWK..AEROBIRD-SKY SCOOTER PRO2..ETC..}..I believe that we have a right to warn the newbies...it would be like if there was a brand new make/model of car put on the market...and when you got it home it wouldnt run right..everyone would want to know about it..so they could make a better/alternate choice for their money..ANY INPUT on my idea here??...

My Feedback: (3)
If people ask, we give them advice on what to start with. There's a beginners forum and a section for first time buyers, and they still ask, so I think this is appropriate.
If they don't ask, I wouldn't expect them to search for and read the list you speak of.
However, there's plenty of bashing without making a specific forum or thread for it. I'll pass, on this one.
Good luck,
Dave Olson

appreciate your reply...but please dont think of it as bashing...I think of it as honest advice..I realize bad planes can be a matter of opinion..but I dont think Ive ever read 1 good review on this forumn of a meagtaech plane flying {or flying good} out of the box...surely this cant be coincevience??...to me its a sign of a badly constructed plane..that is way to often refered to newbies as a good beginenrs plane....heck I know of intermediate/advanced pilots who cant get them to fly..that alone should say alot...
