I have never flown RC, but I would like my first readio to be capable of flying VPP planes in the future. What should I look for in a radio. I am specifically looking at the JR 7202 and the Hitec optic 6. I believe both of these are fully synthesized. The optic 6 says "Spectra synthesized capability". I gues this means it does the same thing as the 7202 as far as having 50 channel choices. Can I have some input and sugestions on what is the best radio for under $300 for future VPP flying.

VPP means Variable Pitch Propeller, correct?
You want a radio with helicopter programming. Most modern computer radios with 6 or more channels have helicopter programming on board.
The Optic 6 you're looking at... "Spectra capable" means that unless you specifically buy it with the Spectra synthesized frequency module, the radio comes as a single-frequency unit. I believe the same is true of the JR 7202; you need to specifically purchase the version that comes with the synthesized frequency module.
