Whats the difference between single and dual conversion receivers and how important is this?

From what I understand, dual conversion receivers are less likely to receive or be affected by interference. If you fly in a city or around power poles, light poles, etc....I would recommend a dual conversion.

Another important point. The crystals used for single- and dual conversion receivers are not interchangeable. So if you were to replace a single-conversion receiver with a dual-conversion receiver, you would need the proper dual-conversion crystal as well.
