Default Second plane advice!!

Hi i am wanting to know your guys opinions on my second electric plane. I have a dynam icanfly right now i can fly inverted and rolls and loops, and the basic stuff. I upgraded it alot since i first got it, its now a flat wing with no dihedral, and i made the ailerons, elevator and rudder all about twice there original size, and i have an ugraded motor with plenty of power so i can do all kinds of things the planes prolly not supposed to do.lol but its a blast to fly. http://www.toysonics.com/f3a-e3d-45-...plane-arf.html you can use that link to see the F3A E3D 45", i've never seen that plane before anywhere but toysonics so i dont know if any of you have experience with that plane or not. Thanks

Beaver,

Default RE: Second plane advice!!

My opinion if you havnt been flying aerobatic planes long and are just getting a second plane, i would stick with something that is not 3D. Learn aerobatics with a sport flyer, but not a 3D. If you do get a 3D airplane, make sure you fly on the lowest rates, becuase 3d airplanes can whip around the sky like crazy, sometimes can get hard to handle. Also i would not fly a basla wood plane if you are just learning and attempting aerobatics(hovering, knife-edge,rolling circles ect). If you crash a balsa wood plane, it is most likely going to be trashed. I used foam planes, not foam cut-outs, but normal foam planes to learn all that stuff. Foam can be repaired easily, balsa cant.

If you are looking to go in that direction, the mini pulse is a great plane to get. With the right power system you can get a awsome smooth flying aeribatic plane, pretty easy to controll and you can learn alot with that plane.

That plane looks like a handful, but it is up to you.  I know nothing about it.

From your post it sounds like you can fly agressviely now, that you don't crash and are highly confident.  That means you should get whatever you want.

You have given no budget, so I presume money is no object.

If you like it, get it.  If you wreck it then you know you were not ready for it.

Your right, I assume your a trainer for rookies like me,my first plane was a cub and after I moved on I bought a p-51 and I found out the hard way like you said,I crashed and crashed, and crashed until I realized that was way to much for a second plane. Now all is well,I just bought a t-28d trojan, much easier.
