Default Ryob1 31cc

I have a ryobi 31cc conversion I'm getting (was getting) to install in a new plane. While test running on the stand today the muffler bolts came out...the threads are stripped. How can I repair it? Heli coil kits are more than the engine is worth. Can I use JB Weld or similiar, or are the temps too high?

Thanks

Tom

If there is enough metal around the holes, just drill and tap for the next thread size. If it is SAE, try the next closest metric and vice-versa. If that is not a doable, contact Clarence Lee, I am sure he can put Helicoils in it for a reasonable price. Good luck.
