Default long coupling hex nut as prop adaptor??

Hello everyone.

Im converting a Mitsubishi 33cc short shaft for using it on a 72 WS ugly stick

Im living in México city and its have been hard getting an 8mm prop adaptor (hub)

In home depot i found this long coupling nuts which might work, but in México there are only standard chord (not milimetric)

Im flying to Louisville kentucky this week, any idea where can i find this long hex nut or any other suggestion of something that might work as prop hub.

Regards
VA

They're called coupling nuts.I got one at Fastenal, but many places have them in metric.Check what hardware stores or larger stores are in Kentucky where you're going may have them. https://www.fastenal.com/products;js...goryl1:"600000 Fasteners"|~ ~|categoryl2:"600072 Nuts"|~ ~|categoryl3:"600076 Coupling Nuts"|~ ~|sattr01:^Metric$|~

Have you used these as prop adapters?

No, not as a prop hub.I don't think they would be big enough, unless for a very small plane.

Also, since their intended use does not require it, the ends are likely not machined true to the axis of the thread. Wobble and runout would likely happen.
