Default Mccullouch 60cc gas engine conversion

Anyone out there tried using a Mccullouch chain saw engine for conversion? I have a 60cc engine that runs and would love to convert it. it seems perfect because there isn't any case material that needs removed. Thanks for looking

Got it put back together and running. Need to remove oil tank but it holds the ignition coil so I need a solution for that or go to a different ignition. Now I need a prop hub and design a fire wall mount.

First check to see if it has ball or roller bearings on the crank. Some of the Macs I've come across use roller bearings which are not good for airplanes. As far as the ignition, it usually doesn't work out well to make a new bracket for the coil, and anything that would work well would end up being heavy. Switching to battery powered CDI would be better all the way around, and they only cost around 50 bucks or so now.
