Default gasket removal???

I'm converting a 21cc Echo. Can I remove the base gasket and have it run on pump gas? Will I have to modify the ports? What about power? Overheating.

Thanks,
Doug

Default RE: gasket removal???

That's a good, quickie little hop up I do all the time. I use Yamabond sealer from the Yamaha motorcycle shop in place of the gasket. It will run fine on regular gas. It is better though, if you remove the same amount from the piston skirt on the intake side, and chamfer the top of the piston at the exhaust port area, to regain the port timing.

Good luck,
