I have a 46cc poulan that is converted to CH Electronics Syncro Spark. The engine has the stock Walbro WT610 carburetor on it. My high needle is 3 turns out and the low needle is 2-1/8 turns out. Does that seem right? What are you Poulan 46 needle settings?
Thanks!

The main thing you want is a good idle, and good transition to full throttle. If it starts up, and will run at a decent idle, you should be close. Needle settings are not a one size fits all. You need a tach to accurately set the top end. Just don't go for max rpm. Always set the hi spd. needle a little rich.

HI,
www.bmeengines.com has a real good section on setting up your carb and needle settings. Check it out, and good luck.
Take care,

The newer walbro carbs are "environmentally friendly" and made so that us uninformed users can't easily adjust the mixture...The threads are much finer than the old ones...3 turns is not too far out given the thread pitch now used...Adjust it until it runs good and forget conventional wisdom(?) about the number of turns........
