I was thinking of converting a weedeater 18cc. Does any one have a suggestions on a ARF plane that would fly with this motor?

Your time would be better spent on some other engine. This engine doesn't have the power of a .60 size glow engine and weighs more than twice as much even with all the extras cut off. In other words the power to weight ratio is bad. One of the main reason for this feeling is personal experience and the cause is the extremely small ports in the engine. The engine serves it's original purpose very well but it is just not model engine material.
