Sorry I don't have schematic, I'm building from scratch.[>:]
Here is the source code:

while (engine running) do
{
measure rpm()
send_spark_at_right_time()
}

Buck that list sounds great! Sure I will let you know, I'm redesigning some things to make it smaller and lighter. I need to do some tests, I think I need 2 or 3 weeks to have it really finished. If you understand my "english" there is no problem

It's running like hell.
Here we go again with the specs of Ultra-Spark:

- Electronic Ignition System with no moving parts
- Microcomputed adjustable advance (the spark advance setting is adjusted by turning a potentiometer while the engine is running, there is no fixed curve)
- No need of large packs (more than 2 hours of continuous running on 5 years old 4.8v 550mA Futaba pack)
- Works with 4.8V or 6V
- Weights less than 6 oz
- Strong spark up to ~25.000 rpm
- Twice spark power at starting
- No kick backs, retarded spark at starting

Included:

- 1 Ultra-Spark Electronic Ignition System with computed adjustable advance
- 1 Wired Hall Sensor (include Futaba style connectors, it's in the picture)
- 1 Extra Unwired Hall Sensor
- 1 Neodymium Magnet (size at your choice)
- 1 Extra Neodymium Magnet (size at your choice)
- 1 Fastener to ground the spark plug

I'm building the first units at U$S80, PayPal accepted so there is no fees at all.
Magnets package has not arrived yet

I have ordered several size of nickel plated neodymium magnets but from other supplier because I need to use PayPal. Anyway thank you for the info, great stuff at allelectronics.
I'm still in love with your Poulan 60cc!

Juampa:
Would you have some ignitions for sale at the Buenos Aires Show???
I know some pals that are quite interested in the systems, they just need a little push to get into the convesion junky stuff.

Im trying to make some cash to bring one back with me and test it in a lot of engines. Specially interested in the US 35 cc.
Platero told me he would have a stand also there at the Newery airfield.

There are a lot interested in yours because of the chance to set up the ignition point with the potentiometer, wich allows a lot of experimentation.

Are you planing to have actually a engine running there??

regards.
Tato Lazo.

(sorry I write in english, after all this is an american forum site)

Can you hook a potentiometer to the throttle linkage so you get spark advance when you throttle up? Thanks Capt,n John

Capn John,

Guess you might have missed it. This system features computerized automatic spark advance, and adjustability with a potentiometer while it's running. That's why I'm so interested in it. He's talking about selling it for $80.00 complete, which is a pretty good price as well.

Thanks av8tor for the explanation John look at 2nd picture at the start of the thread, you don't need any linkage, it's all electronically computed, a little hole gives access to the potentiometer so you can set your custom max advance for the curve, the same way you set needles on your engine. It's the same feature of the Pro-Spark Ignition (Maximum engine power is obtained because the spark advance setting is adjusted electronically by turning a potentiometer (a rheostat type device) with a screw driver while the engine is running. This usually results in more power from the engine.)
Hi Tato! I don't really put stands or sell stuff at airfields, I like to enjoy the shows with friends. Anyway sure I could take a unit for you.

ok, so are we ready to take orders yet, what is the total cost. how about a starting low price for us guys that want to try out a few without you doing the testing. how about 1/2 dozen of us doing it with you. this way you have multiple engines at differing altitudes and weather to test at all probables.including a difference of vibrations and flying styles.

Interesting ignition... In one of the posts it was told that it doesnt have a fixed curve..Is it self programming for max rpm ??I get lost there.. Not asking for a code just interested in principle...

Buck the unit was tested on several engines and it's running great, yesterday I flied H9 Cap 232 with a Zenoah 23 with the unit, it started easy by hand and runned great on the air. Cost is $80 including unit with NGK cap, hall sensor and neodymium magnet.
Mitty you are right, the ignition unit has not fixed curve, you can adjust the maximum advance while running the engine at full throttle, like a high needle. That way you got no advance at 2000rpm and the advance you adjusted at full throttle with a smooth curve automatically calculed by the microcontroller.
Fish I'm building units right now, I got some units reserved for the first guys that have ordered.

I am very interested in one of your ignition systems for my Echo 18cc and Ryobi 31cc engine. Can you send me some info on availability and price? Do you have a brochure or paper on the system? When is it available? Thanks very much.

Hi Bennie, finally price is $80.
I will include 1 hall sensor (wired and with connectors for easy removal), 1 neodymium disc magnet (1/8 x 1/16, 3/16 x 1/16 or 1/4 x 1/8) (diameter x length) and the unit with NGK spark plug cap (high quality 5K ceramic resistor to protect against RFI, maximum heat resistance, long durability and waterproof). Sorry I don't have a brochure yet, I'm building a web site. I will pm you with availability this week. Thanks for your interest.

Yes I got your email. I will be ordering one. However it wont be for a few more weeks I just blew $1200 on batteries for me and my fellow electric fliers. If you want to trade for some lithiums let me know. It will be a little while before I can con the wife into giving me a few nickels. We all know how that is.
VERY GOOD design thats for doing this.
