I have a 2 cycle 98cc Tecumseh engine that I took out of an old snowblower. I have "trimmed" it down and removed the large diameter flywheel and magneto assembly. I plan on using an electronic ignition on it and will be replacing the original float bowl carb with a Tillitson carb (HL314 or similar) like those used on Go Kart racing engines. My main question is: Has anyone heard of or used this engine before? It weights about 7 pounds now and is in very good mechanical condition. I presently do not have a use for it but got the snowblower in with the string trimmers with smaller engines! Any comments are welcome.

A couple of people did reply to your post in the gas engine side including mine:
"Actualy you should have a 98cc engine. The Walbro WGA-3 carb will bolt up but needs a crank case pulse fitting tapped into the engine case and run to the carb. Yes I have one. I also have the 138cc and 49cc Tecumseh's as well. There is more info in the "Conversions" side. "
What other info are you looking for? Do a search for Tecumseh and see if that helps>
