Default 2.3 cu/38cc Homelite chainsaw

Im converting a 2.3 cu inch / 38cc homey chainsaw but im wondering how many of you have experience with a 38cc and what twister manifold do i need to get the carb mounting straight. I have a Zama on it now and will try it but i need a manifold as the original is part of the airbox for the saw.

I have an old part number for the twister manifold. It is UP03863. I checked on http://www.ordertree.com and http://www.outdoordistributors.com/. It seems like that part number has been superceeded by PS04537. I have not ordered any manifolds using this new part number yet, but a friend has purchased the twister manifold with the old part number of UP03863. The cost is around 4 dollars. Whether this will work with your 38cc Homelite, I do not know. The part numbers that I have listed should work with the 25cc and the 30cc Homelite motors.

Homelite refers to the manifold as a heat dam. The exhaust side on my homelites and the others that I have seen use only a gasket.

The 25 and 30cc have different shape and port size openings then the 33, 38 and 45cc. If they are the part numbers for the 25 and 30cc I dont think it will work.

If you check my first post in this thread, I mention that this part should work for the 25 and 30cc homelite motors, and I do not know if it will work for your 38cc homelite motor.
