Hey guys. I tried a search, and found one match. Would a 20X8 work OK for this engine? If a guy was to get two, would a 22X8 and a 20X10 be OK? What brand? Menz? It's going in a Byron CAP 21 with 80 inch wing. Should weigh 15-17 pounds.

For what it is worth I have used:
20-6 Dynathrust
20-10 APC
22-8 (6900 RPM) Dynathrust
22-10 (6700 RPM) Dynathrust
on a 57cc Stihl blower engine. The 22-8 is on the airplane now. There may not be a correlation since the airplane weighs 35 pounds. But I hope the information will help.

The 20 X 8, 20 X 10 and 22 X 8 are mentioned most often for this engine. I bought a 22 X 8 for mine. but havn't run the engine.
As far as brand goes, some of the more expensive props do work better.
The Dyna Thrust is peobably the most popular in the USA because of its low price?
There are so many variables in using props. you made need, or want, to try several different ones before it is over to see which one you like the best?
Enjoy,
Jim

Remember, you are at altitude. I would stick with the 20X8 and/or a 20X10. If you do the math, the difference between a 20" and a 22" prop disk is significant, because it varies as the square of the radius, and because the center five inches or so don't do anything.

Maybe I better try a 20X10 to start with. I've got some 18" of various pitch. Would that be to little prop to at least test run it (on the ground) until I get my 20"?

For my money a 20-8 APC is the only prop to use. However I live at sea level. Had a 4 star 120 with 45 homey with MAS 20-8, changed to APC and made it a different plane of it. Knife edges, verticals, etc all became much better with the APC.
Good luck, red
