Default RE: velocity stack

I think I can reduce some % of those sizes and use it in a 25 cc homelite.

Hope somebody want to share this info.

Tato Lazo.

I just guessed at mine and it works good. It's 3/4 outside dia. 11/16 inside dia. 1.00 long aluminum tube. I then welded it to a 1/8 thick 1.00 wide aluminum flat bar with 3/4 hole in it. Its on a shindaiwa 21cc weedy motor. Here is a pic.

Thanks

The more common purchased ones have a I.D that's the same as the flared out part of the carb inlet.

The O.D. is small enough to just clear the socket head bolts used to hold the carb on.

Length to suit.

Outer end is cut at a angle generally placed into the wind.

The base and the tube are separate. The base is held onto the carb with the carb hold down bolts. This base retains the tube.

There is a little lip on the carb side of the tube that fits into a counter bore of the mounting flange.

This way, the tube can be swiveled when loose to any position desired but held firmly when the bolts are tight.

You can make the bell mouthed ones according to the above mounting parameters.

Enjoy,

Jim

Tell you what I did. Went to local parts store and found a metal fuel filter the OD that I needed. It had a pressed on flare at one end. Cut the tube as needed and make a plate that is a mirror image of outside of your carb. Slide filter tube into it and put carb mtg. screws thru plate. Adjust as needed. Must say I didn't notice any difference on a Homey 45cc, but looked neat. Good luck, red

They are all pretty much the same size on up in the 50cc range. The WA and WT carbs are all the same on the inlet end.

Enjoy,

Jim
