Default husquarvna 61

Found a husky chain saw at a garage sale today. Looks to be in top condition. Model #61. Was wondering if anyone knew the cc's of this model. Manual that came with it shows displacement as 61.5cm3. Does this equate to 61 CC's. Also anyone done one of these conversions, any special concerns ? Thanks, red

61.5cm3 is the same as 61.5cc. CC is short for cubic centimeter, which is the same as cm3.

Haven't started the conv. yet. Will probably be awhile. The case was all aluminum, and was cast as part of the saw body. Lot's of bandsaw work, painted crankcase red, looks cool. Engine without muffler or carb weighs 3lb 8oz. Has single ring, bearings on all wear surfaces, strong looking conn rod and crank. I removed mag ignition and will convert to C&H. Will initially try fixed timing. This worked OK on my Homey 45.
Good luck, red

Whoa!!! Thanks Ken, never thought of that. Did a lot of grinding and wondered why the chips would incandese. I'll try to remember this in the future. Thanks again, red
