Default advice on mounting throttle servo pushrod

I have a converted Stihl mounted on an Ultra Stick Lite and was looking for advice on how to run the cable, linkage from the servo to the throttle. My throttle arm on the carb ended up at a rather [:'(] angle to the fuse, but I think it will work ok. My question I guess is do you keep the return spring on the carb or ditch it and use a push pull link. If I do keep it should I use a hi torque servo? Seems like a waste of juice... I've heard not to use metal around the carb as well so whats the best way? wish I could show a pic, sorry...

I use the black core Golden Rod for cable.

If you look at the spring closely, you can unhook it to where it no longer returns the throttle to idle. But leave the sprng itself on the arm or the butterfly will catch and stick your throttle.

Enjoy,

Jim

Thank you Jim,
I disconnected the spring but left it on as you said and it works much better. I work in a small engine shop so I improvised and used some fat weed eater line for the inner and some stiff unusually smooth fuel line for the outer throttle cable. Thanks again
