I have not had luck finding the Hangar 9 mount at the LHS. Does anyone have the part number or a link to it on the internet. I was able to fine a GP adjustable mount for up to a 1.8. Has anyone tried it? I am not sure about it since it is nylon/glass. Are there any other mounts out there that work on the Poulan 46?
Why is an extension piece of aluminum used instead of just bolting directly to the mount?

Hello.
The GP 1.8 mounts are fine. I couldn't find the H9 mounts either. I have one pair of old ones, but they are to short if used with a Bisson pitts muffler. Wackerengines has the whole setup available including the adapter plates to ease beam mounting. The plates make a more stable mount. Some folks have even made mounts from maple and plywood. Her is a picture by Scott E. of his engine.

Is this the Hangar nine mount everyone is using? It has slots in the rails for adjustment.

I am not going to try the GP nylon mount. I want to use the aluminum mount that is shown in the picture above. Is that the mount that I linked to above?
