Default Tanaka Engines

Has anyone converted a Tanaka engine? These appear to be popular with the board racing crowd. Does YW Engines use these components to build their engines?

Default RE: Tanaka Engines

Hi,
The smaller Tanaka/Makita engines make excellent conversions. Makita/Dolmar saws(aka Sachs) have been used as larger airplane engines for years, IE Brison, Fox, A&M etc. Did you mean board or boat racing? YW probably uses some ones saw cylinders, since many are piston port engines.
