Power Sports International LLC carried what they called a 35 cc OHC , it was supposed to be a copy the Honda GX35 its on their website for 275.00
The crank threads on the GX35 are different (smaller) than the GX31 and the starter bolt pattern is different too. So the mounts and adapter probably won't fit.

The engine has come and now is gone. I just don't have time so I have sent it off to be converted.
It is headed to the left coast to Carr Conversions.

crashingsucks I seen your motor today, wow what a monster . Dave is still working on his to get everthing perfect, his will be ready for testing sometime next week. Everthing is all together looks good, it is a huge motor but it was not as heavy as one might think for its size.

I got the engine back!!!! I cranked it up with a zinger 18x6 and just let it run. I swapped out to a APC 18X6 wide. At WOT you can talk over it. REAL REAL QUITE!!! It got to dark to tach it, but I am thinking 20x6 ish prop. I am going for thrust not speed. I am going to put it on a Great Planes Giant ugly stick. I am one more step closer to a 4 stroke gaser!!!

I am currently convering one of these GX35's with my S/S auto advance ignition system and I will post my tach readings running a Zinger 22 X 6-10 woody. This is a nice little 4 stroker and I will be added it to my website available for purchase. I have been converting the Robin Subaru BF34 4 stroker on EI and when they are done, they are exactly like the Fuji BF 34. I use some Fuji parts that I can't fabricate. I will be updating my website with photos and offerings of this engine on EI as well.
I don't like Fuji's Electronic Ignition modules, they create too much EMI and noise. They don't have any shielding whatsoever so I don't use them.

Can the Honda 4-stroke run inverted? I've seen several installations that have it that way, but don't know if the engine siezed after taking the picture due to oil starvation.........several threads say it will???

I have run mine inverted and am building a new plane with it installed that way. There are slingers or vanes in the sump area of the engine that stir the oil into a mist. I have talked to Honda and they told me the engine will run in any orientation as long as you want it to.

HEY BLACK BARON, WHO SELLS THE IGNITION FOR THE GX35? I'VE GOT A GX35 BUT IT HASN'T BEEN RUN YET. WHAT WALBRO CARB WOULD YOU USE AS THE OEM CARB HAS NO ADJUSTMENTS. THIS MOTOR IS BOUND FOR A 1/4 SCALE BALSA USA FOKKER DVII. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD MUST BE SHORTENED SO THE CARB WON'T STICK OUT THE SIDE OF THE PLANE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU THINK THIS MOTOR PERFORMS. THANX, BOB K

About a year and a half ago I had an ad from someone who sells Honda GX-35 engines modified for use in model aircraft.
I have lost his address. Can anyone tell me where to but a pre-modified Honda engine?

I know of three people who will convert one for you.
Carr Precision WWW.carrprecision.com
BCMA WWW.BCMAEngines.com
Brillelli http://www.brillelli.com/page6.html
RC Ignitions http://www.rcignitions.com/
I purchased my GX35 from the Small Engine Warehouse and had it shipped directly to Scott Ellingson/Mark Brill at Brillelli Engines. They did a great job on the conversion.
Hope this helps.
