NITROPLANES Big Tiger Moth...

Hi guys,
Got my new Tiger Moth from NitroPlanes. The airplane looks good from what I can tell without actually getting into building it. It has hardware, tank, wheels, etc., and appears to be well constructed at first glance.
The good news is a Ryobi will fit completely within the cowl. The bad news is the instructions are by far the worst I've seen in 30 years of modeling!! A few copied pages of blurry pictures, a few diagrams, and nothing else! No control throws, no c.g., and no explanations. It will be a challenge to figure a few things out. It's not really meant for serious aerobatics with just the scale two bottom ailerons, but even so if you are going to try to be brutal with it, it will need a few changes such as glueing the tail on instead of the small bolts, (or add tail brace wires), and some other little details.

I am planning on building this same plane with a gas/glow Ryobi using the fuel mix you gave me. Lets see some pics on the build so we can watch it come together.
As far as the CG and the control throws I always they to fine a plane of similar size and use it recommended cg as control throw as a starting place and adjust from there.
Good luck on the build!

Well yeah, I've been building airplanes, full size and models for many years and I can set the controls and calculate the c.g. It's just that I wanted to warn the newcomers that this is definitely not a beginners airplane, unless they revise the instructions.
However, I have other projects ahead of this one, so if you build yours please keep me updated. I just wanted to grab this one before the price went up and/or they ran out of it. I think I'll throw together my Wild Hare 28% Extra with a Kioritz 58cc next....
Take care,

I just noticed that they are using the photos and text from the Great Planes GeeBee for theirs. It may be an entirely different model or it may be from the same factory that makes the one GP sells under their name. Either way it hurt to see it for allot less than I paid for mine as a GP model (if it is the same model). I saw a few other models that looked like major brand name planes, I wonder if those are clones, same plane in a different box, or just pilfered pics and text? I see a few planes there that I might be interested in takeing a chance on.

UPDATE:
I e-mailed NitroPlanes. It took them a couple of days to get back to me, but they sent me a real nice .pdf file with good instructions. It has pictures and step by step instructions. Cool!! I don't know why the instructions aren't included in the box, but now I feel better about recommending the plane.
