Default Need a conversion to substitute a G62???

I have an ISC Pitts that im ready to fly minus motor and I really don't want to dump a bunch of dough into it. Any conversions around with output similar to a G62?

I picked up a G-62 with Electronic Ign. for $350.00 here on RCU.

G-62s are hard to replace, especially for $350.00

Ralph makes a conversion from a RedMax chainsaw. It's 62cc, and supposed to be lighter than a G-62.

I'd shoot him an email and see what he's got.

Or, go on ebay and buy a used chainsaw for cheap. Get it converted.

A Poulan 60cc chainsaw works well, takes a fair amount of cutting and grinding and an aftermarket ignition...Been there...
Check out Ebay, there are some under $300 NIB G62s there..You will need a hub, somewhere between $24 and $87 on the Horizon website, depends on where you look..

A brand new G-62 without prop hub is $265 on ebay now. I bought one from the guy a few weeks ago.
I have installed a toni-clark mount and intake manifold, C-H ignition, bisson muffler, 55mm zenoah prop hub ($24 horizon)
great engine for the price.

Have some 62cc zenoah saws here, new in the box. will convert easy and end up with more zip than a store bought 62. RC is familiar with them. Send a note if interested.

Stihl also has a 65cc 4 stroke, the 4 mix, it will be heavier but is reported to be similar to a G62 in power, and would have a great sound.
