Hello,
I replaced the piston, ring and wrist pin in my Sachs 3.1 conversion today. The new piston has a gray color. Could it be graphite? I also installed a Walbro HDB 6B 15.88mm carb off a pro mac 610 saw. It has a 3/4th inch throttle bore and requires a spacer between the manifold and carb.

Looks like that big hump on the side of the cylinder means its got some nice big ports. let us know how she screams. Good going! Capt,n

Hi Ken,
That's good to know. I don't think that there will be any of the incoming charge traped in the piston. Is your piston dark graycolor? The 3.1 came stock with a 13.49mm carb. What size carb does your 3.3 have?
