Default What engine is this?

Yes I know another one of these noobs asking "What engine is this?". Well what engine is it? I know it is 22cc. It is from a Mountfield MB22CX strimmer. Is it any good? It looks like it would make a really light engine once all the excess is trimmed away.
thanks in advance

Craig,
It looks like maybe a late model Redmax trimmer ot blower engine. 22cc or so. Zenoah engines are based on Redmax puwer equipment. Looks good to me.

My guess is 21 cc Kioritz/Echo. Is displacement stamped on unit? What basis for knowing it is 22 cc?

Ooops, looking at the pdf the engines are very similar but my head/cylinder mounting bolts are at the oposite sides to the ones in the picture on page 2.

Well found out it is a Zenoah G23lh. As used in gopeds and mini motos. So looking for parts for this engine some of the things you can fit are unbelievable. For example: 10 degree flywheel advance key for better acceleration, big bore kit to take the small 22.5cc up tp 29cc!!, a complete new billet head with 13:1 compression ratio, of course there are a lot of tuned pipes and larger carbs. But I think the piece de resistance is NITROUS OXIDE KITS!!!!! Seems like i have got a good wee engine. So what do you think i would be better to use? A standard 25cc poulan with leccy ignition or 29cc 13:1 compression ratio, big carb, tuned pipe and nitrous? You gotta love peoples ingenuity!!

Glad you identified it. Found one of those a few years ago and posted to get some information.

What plane do you have in mind for either of your mentioned engines?

The plane maybe one or both are going in is an Al masters 81inch DO335. Hopefully with the rear engine mid mounted and driving through a prop shaft. thanks for all the help with identifying this engine.
