Default What engine is this

HI
Anybody know what engine this is. It´s written made in canada under the engine, and made in usa on the flywheel. The piston is 36.5mm and the stroke is 32mm, that shuld give 33ccm. I think it is taken from a chainsaw or a weed eater, The weight is 1650gram with prop adapter and engine mount.

Not sure....it may be a Quadra engine. I think the engine was in a Pioneer Chain saw. Looks like it is all ready to go. What are you going to put it in? Capt,n

Thanks for the info. I have to mount a bearing inside the motor mount to take the thrust from the propeller. it is only needle bearings in the engine. I´m going to try it in a CMPro AT6 Texan. VS=209cm. I have 16x10 and 18x10 props. What should i try on this one.

Good old Q35 or 42...No need for a bearing inside, there's a bronze thrust washer outside both roller bearings on the crank...
Check it out at bennettbuilt.com
18-6 for the 35, 18-8 or 10 for the 42...

It will turn an 18x8 APC REAL good if the engine is in good shape. 7500 rpm or so.

Tyor,
Most people 3% or about 32 to 1. Some older Quadras didn't have a needle bearing at the top of the rod. This would require more oil, 3% to be safe.

There are little cans of 2 stroke oil at the hardware and discount stores. The small ones go with one gallon of gasolene and the big ones go with two gallons.

A 4oz bottle with a gallon of gas gives you 32:1

We dont have gallons and oz here in norway, we use litre and dl. [8D]

32:1 shuld be 1dl oil in 3.1litre gass. That should give me 3.2litre fuel at 32:1.

Tyor,
30cc for each liter would be 3%, which is approximatly 32 to 1.

Tested the engine today. Got 8200rpm with a menz 16x10. Should I try a bigger prop?

How heavy warbird kan I fly with this engine?

Looking at your one picture, I see a black wire coming from under the flywheel. This is a points type ignition on your motor. Pop the muffler off and see how many rings are on the piston. 1 ring is a 35cc. 2 rings is a 40cc. They look the same. Yours has an aluminum prop hub which would not be on an earlier engine as they were steel. Could have been changed though. Bennettbuilt.com has an exploded parts diagram for these engines. I have both the 35 and 40cc engines. Good runeers just a little heavy.
