What engine is this

HI
Anybody know what engine this is. It´s written made in canada under the engine, and made in usa on the flywheel. The piston is 36.5mm and the stroke is 32mm, that shuld give 33ccm. I think it is taken from a chainsaw or a weed eater, The weight is 1650gram with prop adapter and engine mount.

Not sure....it may be a Quadra engine. I think the engine was in a Pioneer Chain saw. Looks like it is all ready to go. What are you going to put it in? Capt,n

Thanks for the info. I have to mount a bearing inside the motor mount to take the thrust from the propeller. it is only needle bearings in the engine. I´m going to try it in a CMPro AT6 Texan. VS=209cm. I have 16x10 and 18x10 props. What should i try on this one.

Hi tested the engine with a menz 18x10 today(the lokal dealer didn´t have a 18x8). it have a realy low nice idle
Shal messure the rpm one of the first days.
What percent of oil should I use. is 2% enough for this engine?

Tyor,
Most people 3% or about 32 to 1. Some older Quadras didn't have a needle bearing at the top of the rod. This would require more oil, 3% to be safe.

We dont have gallons and oz here in norway, we use litre and dl. [8D]
32:1 shuld be 1dl oil in 3.1litre gass. That should give me 3.2litre fuel at 32:1.

Looking at your one picture, I see a black wire coming from under the flywheel. This is a points type ignition on your motor. Pop the muffler off and see how many rings are on the piston. 1 ring is a 35cc. 2 rings is a 40cc. They look the same. Yours has an aluminum prop hub which would not be on an earlier engine as they were steel. Could have been changed though. Bennettbuilt.com has an exploded parts diagram for these engines. I have both the 35 and 40cc engines. Good runeers just a little heavy.

Hi
have taken off the muffler and it has 1ring. Have also messured the piston and it is for sure a 35. I am going tu try a 18x8 prop and se what RPM I get with that.
