Default Please identify this engine.

Does anyone recognize this engine? I originally thought it was a Toro 25 from the look of the flywheel. However, the Toro magneto attaches to the cylinder whereas this one has a separate casting. Is it possibly an Echo 25?

Thank you Ken. As I disassemble it, I will measure the bore and stroke.

I see a McCulloch logo on it… Which is also on the Echo engines. So it a Koritz (Zenoah) engine. I would say it’s in the 23cc range.

Thank you for the reply. I am starting to think it is just a different or older model of an Echo 23.6.

The older 23.6cc Echo engines are better. Bigger transfer ports.....

I obtainsed both string trimmers and hedge trimmers. It could have been the hedge trimmer as several of the string trimmers had the 21.4 engines.
