Default poulan 46

recently ive accuired a 46cc gasser and during disassembly i failed to notice if there is SUPPOSED to be a gap between the mag/flywheel and case? also it has a weak spark. is there any way to boost it?

Default RE: poulan 46

The gap between the mag rotor and coil should be as close as possible without rubbing...No way to boost a weak magneto spark.....It gets stronger as the rpm increases....They don't need to be strong at low rpm because the chainsaws use a pull starter, as opposed to airplane engines that are hand propped...The old Quadra with points and the G38 are about the easiest starting magneto gassers...

Moderator added the suffix "out" onto the word "with" which is, IMHO, Ralph's intention?
