any gas conversion suggestions for a hanger 9 ultra stick 60? I have a robin-fuji 25cc thats just dying to be converted but I'm not sure its too big for it?
Sure wish I didn't sell the ultra stick 1.20 lite I had because that was probally the right size for the robin-fuji.
I would like to fly 3d with this so maybe too much power to pull out a hover is ok?

Thanks

Keyman,
It is just barely big enough, if you run gas/glow fuel and cut the nose down by about 2.5 inches,or add about six oz. of lead in the tail to balance, stock. A sixty weighs about twenty oz. and the Robbin will weigh over forty without mag etc. Ground clearance may be close with a 16" prop. Remove the lead in the tail and you could always go back to a smaller engine later.

I had a plane with similar stats and a Homelite 25cc... Flew it quite a bit and then sold it to a friend that flies it a lot. The weight is going to prevent good 3D I would say, not lack of power. The Ultra Lite Stik 120 really would be a lot better overall. Had one of those too, but it eventually got a terminal case of dumb thumb... [

Here's a couple of shots of mine with a Ryobi 22.5 on it. One photo shows the 1 3/4" I shortened the nose. This allows everything to be located in the stock postion without any extra weight needed to balance. It's not really a 3D plane, but it's still VERY fun to fly, and yes it does BLAST out of a hover. Hitec 605s on the flight surfaces, a 425 on throttle. This one is getting close to being 2 years old and not a single problem yet.
