Porp hub for a homelite 40cc
Does anyone have a prop hub they want to sale? I have a homelite 40cc that came off a industrial size weed eater. It has reversed threads. I was wondering if a Zonoah 45 prop hub would work.

Hi,
You could send the engine to Wacker Engines to have it fitted with a hub. If it is a left hand thread you will have to glue the hub on with JB Weld or green locktite. Is it a twin shaft engine? If so, maybe you are using the wrong end. The other end might be righthand threads. The Zenoahs are metric 8x1.25mm, I think and righthand thread. A lefthand hub would have to be made special and would have to be locked some how. Just my thoughts.

I will try to post a picture. I dont have a degital cam. Dave, It is a doubled sided shaft. I dont know how to mount the engine with the flywheel facing to the rear. The clutch side is a larger size thread. It is about 3/4 inch (just Guessing the size). This engine runs really good. I can tell it has alot of power.

Well, I solved the prop hub problem! I went and got me a Lathe[X(]. I got a brand new lathe for only 200.00 It is a small one 6" by 12" but I always wanted one and now I got it. I only wish I new how to operate it. but the gut who sold it tome is a machinest. He is showing me the tricks to it.[8D]
