Default Ryobi with weird carb?

I'm doing a ryobi 31 cc weed wacker conversion from wacker engines. com and i was wondering how i set the low and high end needles. I've been looking in alot of fourms about tuning and they say just use a screw driver to turn the screws. My engine's carb does not have screw slots, phillips, or standard, but little wholes not in the center of the screw. I thought maybe a hex screw but no. I don't want to try and jam a needle nose pliers in there and screw them that way do i? Does any one else have this problem? Do i need a new carb? please let me know, any help would be apreciated!!!
thanks

Take the screws out and grind a slot in them for a screwdriver with a Dremel tool and a cut off wheel.

Are you sure your not looking at the little plastic covers used to limit the amount adjustment the user can do ? If so you can pull them off and find the needles under them with screw slots.
