Default Wiring ???

Hi All
I bought a Homelite conversion, the engine runs well and I haven't had any RFI problems,But I cant get it to shut off.So I have come to the conclusion that I need a kill switch. The engine came with a plug wire shield which is soldered to the ungrounded coil Tab(2 Tabs 1 grounded 1 not).
My questions are, 1. Shouldn't the shield be grounded? 2. In order to kill the spark shouldn't the ungrounded tab be grounded?
Like I said I haven't been having interference problems so I don't want to fix what isn't broken, but an engine that wont quit on demand is a bigger problem.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Default Wires

I think your "shielding " has a useful value of about 0. Proper shielding covers the entire wire, like a piece of coax cable.
The grounding of the ungrounded termial should kill the engine

Hi magumbo1
Your engine must stop from the trotlle trim, or if your radio system has from the tr. cut, you must to stop the engine with out touching the plane. Kill swicht is necessary too. The carb has a screw that limits the end of the butterfly movement, just remove it so the butterfli can close totally. good luck
