Default Seek help converting Small Nitro engine to Gasoline

Dear All;

In local forum a few days ago a guy posted and reported success in converted an OS 61 to run on Gasoline. It uses all the regular stuff like CDI ignition magnet sensor etc. But there is just one thing I can't believe. The Spark Plug he uses is a direct bolt in onto the glow plug hole. Yes...the spark plug is about the size of a regular glow plug except longer. Have any of you guys seen this? I attach a pic for all to see.

I am interested to convert my glow engine to gas but hate to do any machining. Anyone know where to get this mini spark plug from. Hence I ask all the experts here to give your inputs.

Thanks

Make sure the engine you desire to convert is a ringed engine. (ABC engines don't convert well) Unless you change the bushing on the lower end of the rod to a needle bearing you will need to use at least a 16:1 oil ratio. If you convert to needle bearings you can raise the oil ratio up to around 50:1 without problems. CH as mentioned above is an excellent choice for ignition parts including the little 1/4X32 spark plugs. Good Luck, it's a very good project.
