It took me a little while to figure out where the menu was. Strange arrangement.

Do we know if that is the same as the regular RCEXL? I guess it can't be all that different.

Dunno, 3-buyers comments. 5-stars.
I read somewhere on here, that there may be a couple different knock-off units though.

I know the service I get from Bill and Terry at CH is second to none and that is what keeps me going back. I know there are other great folks out there to deal with but they have treated me great so I will spend a few extra coins to keep from getting burned by some knockoff that doesn't work as good as the original. Just my two cents, your mileage may vary.[8D]

I agree with the good service from CH and there are quite a few places that have good service on a varity of products. What I cannot grasp is the difference in the amount of $$$ for the SAME PRODUCT! First place $25 2nd place $28 3rd place $33 forth place $75 Last place $85. Now it seems like the places that charge the most is right here in the USA, and shipping would be less. Hey, anyone can buy 25-50 of the same units for about $20 or less in quanity and sell them. Sooner or later everyone will go with the lower price on same product. Several years ago, I said there will be cheap..but good CD ignition units from China. Its common sense! A small electircal product does not take that much $$ to produce in the first place. I can see keeping the prices higher if CH or any place wants too, on there premium ignition...but give us a break on the China made unit. Yea...I probably will get smoked fot that! Capt,n

The difference is how much the seller is willing to work for, or how much support you are going to get. You can try to charge customers 10-20% over what you pay to produce or buy a product. But that doesn't mean you will be in business long or will have the money to do support.

With the CD Ignition units I was talking about it seems like if seller has a unit go bad (maybe 2 or 3 out of say 30)...they are replaced free to him when he orders next batch. So he may be out only what it costs to ship a new replacemnt unit to buyer. In a lot of cases the person who bought a CD unit that went bad would be glad to pay the shipping to recieve a new one. Thats my opinion..."but everyone has one" Capt,n[X(]

How many businesses have operated? There are real costs of doing business. 10-20% margin doesn't even pay a decent wage for your time.

How many businesses have operated? Many! I myself have not. Most of the guys selling the CD ignitions do RC flying and work on engines ect. They do not do the selling part to make a living. IT IS PART OF A HOBBY TO THEM. They sell this stuff to friends and whoever and at the same time have plenty of goodies for the enjoyment of their hobby. I predict there will be many .51, .60, .75, .90, .1.20 2 cycle engines that will be run on gas with CD ignition. Also the 4 cycle engines are starting to appear from Saito and other brands. CD ignitions will become kinda standard in time as a option on new RC engines. Bottom lines...ignitions will and should become very inexpensive. So there you have it , get one and enjoy it before you croak! Capt,n

I didn't realize that the guys who produce ignitions do it as a favor to the hobby. Many pose themselves as full service companies for the products they sell. When they fall short of customers expectations they get treated like major corporations here on the boards, not some guy running out of time or resources for his hobby. I must be mistaken. I've worked in the industry for 5 years full time. I had my own hobby business ten years ago. It didn't seem like a hobby to me?

I did not mean the all people who produce the ignitions all do it as a hobby. The ones in USA do, but in China I do not know. I would say the Chinese people do it more to make needed money to provide for their living. But even some peoples from China enjoy this Hobby as we do. Capt,n

More good DATA For you non believers what CAN be done or Cannot be done, go to the web-site of Tony Clark. You should then realize where this small gas ignition usage may go. Best Regards Capt,n P.S.
