Default direction of prop spin?

If your lookin at the end of the crank shaft and you have right hand threads. Is the prop going to spin clockwise or anti clock?

Which end? I was taught by a Curtiss Wright field engineer to always refer to crankshaft rotation from the pilots/drivers seat. In this case clockwise.

What has the thread hand to do with your question? Do you mean what direction the engine is designed for?
We operate our engines standing in front of it, so normal props turn counter clockwise if observed from this position, and which is clockwise if you take the pilot's seat.
The thread direction is such, that the prop load tends to tighten the nut if the prop should slip on the shaft.

With our "normal" engines, a right-hand thread tends to tighten during uses, whereas a left-hand thread would tend to loosen. Maybe that is the reason behind his question.
