Default irvine 40 diesel head fix

irvine 40 diesel (back from the dead)
I have several irvine 40 diesels good rugged engines(EXCEPT)
they have the tendency to drop their contra-piston into the
cylinder not only does this lower the compression but takes
up a lot of space this big brass slug does not compress hence
engine ceases to run.I moaned and groaned to Bob Davis
of Davis model products (Bob is the leadind guru on this stuff
I sent bob the engine and he made a couple of heads for
me now up and running , I installed the 2nd head on the
second engine before a problem developed with engine #2
they are both in a pair of VMAR appaches running 12x6 or
12x7 wood zingers.so folks if you have and irvine 40 diesel
davis has the head ( note this is the old 40 diesel not
the new series that are red powder coated) but he has
heads for them my new irvines 46 and 53 glows are
converted to diesel
footnote: the contra piston drop occured at idle and engine
just locked and stopped with no damage to rod, cylinder or
piston I was lucky
