Short shaft prop adapter installation
I'm converting a Mac 28 and the prop adapter is essentially a short shaft installation. (after you cut off the excess shaft)
My question is how do you guys tighten a smooth round adapter tight enough that it will not come loose, if it has no way to put a wrench on it.

You buy a strap wrench from Sears. They have two sizes

Auto Zone has them SKU 110282 $20

RE: Short shaft prop adapter installation
either that or tighten the prop on with the prop bolt then tighten it with the prop... the engine running tightens the adapter, the only time you'll have an issue is if you use an electric starter, if you do have a problem, put some blue loctite on it then let it sit a few minutes.
