Heres a few pics of the WT414.You can see the nipple in front just under the choke plate.I looked at the article i was going to post and it didnt say much so i didnt.
All it basiclly is a check valve so when you back off the throttle from WOT it doesnt 4 stroke from the plate going shut so fast and gas still coming in at full throttle.
It also helps to keep the high speed idle down also.These are the better carbs for our planes if you can get them to fit your application.
You can also see the long shafts so its easy to hook up a nose gear steering arm for a throttle arm

I received a tracking # for the Echo 61 twin reed valve assem. today from Parts Tree, So I will be installing it on my 48 twin. I guess I will put up the Home lite reed valve assem. for sale. After I receive the 61 reed assem. I am sure I will like the low profile set up better . I will keep you informed.

Hi Buck..... The parts for the Echo 61 reed assem. arrived this evening and they look just like the ones you have pictured. The are genuine Echo parts, still had the Kioritz Corp. tags & part # with them. I will install them as soon as the engine is completed, to check the clearances and fit on the Echo 2.8. Oh, these parts came from the Parts Tree site so he must have a source. I haven't heard from the H&H Lawncare Equip. yet, I will have to contact them to cancel that order.

I went to parts tree and saw the parts and numbers.I will order me a set also.I might just try the the 33cc ones i have anyway and then compare them to the 61 later.But the 61 should be a lot better in performance.
And like you said,much lower profile.Im also going to weld my crank first to check all the heat settings then do yours.I already pmed you to let ya know what was going on.
The hub is already done.If av8tor purchases the reed setup let me know and ill ship it to him for ya or ill just send it back to you.Im going to send ya another pm as to not hijack the thread with a bunch of personall things about your case,crank,ect...

Hi Matt, I have tried to send a couple of replys to your PM. I don't know if you received them or not. Anyway I will try again since I don't know your Email. The site you are looking for is (arboristsite.com.) Also I had a question for you, If you could measure the G62 prop hub mount Holes center to center distancefor me I would appreicate it. I have the flywheel that came off of the Echo 61 that I could have the center cut out of if the holes would match up. I hope this PM gets to you.

Well that's pretty interesting looking. Please keep us posted. Sorry, don't have any extra cylinders. The 21cc cylinders are much easier to find. You might scrounge up a couple of those to use for now, then you could switch to 23.6 cc cylinders later once the engine is proven. (Same bolt pattern, stroke, etc.)

Thats what ive been thinking! Its hard to believe how many different changes were made on these transfers...I also used the old crankshafts out of the gt 200 they were muck better as far as heat treat,I pressed one appart and the press fit was much tighter than the new ones about three thousands difference on a ten mm pin ..I will keep posting pics ,I will have it runing as soon as I find some..

Does each opposing cylinder set use a sealed crankcase half, or is the crankcase open to both cylinders? How did you do the crankshaft interface/connection, and is it a permanent or break down connection?

The crankcase is sealed in the middle with two sealed bearings. The front set is on one set of reeds and the rear set on another. The crankshaft is done like the 2.8 but the two are joined by a 5 degree taper and threaded, I also put a set screw. They had to be installed in two half’s to get in the case..I still can’t find any 21 or 23 cc
any suggestions on where to look on line?

An online search will come up with lots of parts places. I have used "ordertree" and Jack's Small Engines, among others. They are going to be quite pricey to buy new... I have an Echo 58cc that lives on a shelf because a piston and cylinder for it cost 200+ bucks.

Seems like someone mentioned a Farmers Supply here in the forum that carried Echo parts. Do a search here in the forum for that one.

Well, I found four 23 cc but two of them have a few groves on the exhaust side and are the later ones with the singer rings. But I was surprised at the compression

Grooves in the cylinder are only real bad above the exhaust port.

Below that and the simply retain oil.

I saw some posts of someone using what appeared to be a modified weed waker case.
would like to make a twin, have machines but not big enough to mill out a case in any reasonable amount of time.

Well,
I got it started two of the cylinders are in bad shape but good enough to run...I didn’t have two of the same carbs so these are temps. Still allot of tuning, I think I’m going to build a manifold so I can run one larger carb

Inspirational work!

It has me thinking. If I use two of my Ryobi clones won't I have to split the case down the middle to allow assembly? If so wouldn't I be better off to just scratch make a case than trying to figure out how to marry two of the Ryobi cases? Or are you all using con rods with split bearing saddles?

The Echo engines we are using for twins, and now this amazing four cylinder job have a full crankshaft with bearings on each end. The Ryobi engines have a cantilever crank with bearings only on the front. I don't know how one would connect two Ryobi crankshafts and make it work, even if you solved the crankcase problem.

Cranks, see pic.

Case? Square bar stock with a round hole. Make the ends with the bearings seperate and to fit the round hole. Machine all necessary holes, dowels, threads, and such. Remove all unecessary metal?

Assembly, Is there enough room to slip the crank with con rods on it into the case from the front or rear? Then the pistons are attached after?
