I got an echo engine once because it wouldn't run, I got a few headaches and head scratching on the thing then I looked behind the flywheel, the front crank seal had backed out, pushed it back in with a screwdriver and it fired right up.

another one that I still use as a weedeater, the pulse hole in the carb gasket didn't line up with the pulse hole in the carburetor, would run great up until half tank for whatever reason then give me fits...

Got my little SRM-2400 Echo going,thanks to rangerfredbob. My question is:should there be a check ball on the hole that I have the tooth pick in?
Local repair guy says yes. I gently pushed in ball and now it won't come back up. Engine is running okay but hesitates on transition.
