i dont have sub trims because i'm using the stock Tx right now.....
but i have used the trims on the tx to cancel out the drift.
i really need to switch it over to my JR Tx
any suggestions on what Micro 6channel Rx to buy??

Any 6ch RX will work fine on your HBK2.it needs to match your JR TX frequency and make sure the RX is positive shift. Berg has some cheap ones on helidirect as well as some available at BPhobbies also. When you get your Rx.use the www.helifreaks.com videos on the HDX300 build. That is almost the same heli as the HBK in principle. Not an exact match but has a very detailed setup video on the telebee gyro (also called the align gyro) as well. Also look in the general build section or the heli setup 101 thread.that will basically show you how to set up almost any heli properly and help your flying skills by having a well set up machine.

This may be a stupid question, but did you orient the gyro on the heli properly. I don't have a telebee gyro, but my HH gyro on another heli sits with the label facing the rear, not upward like the standard gyro. I first put it on the heli with the label up and could not figure out what was wrong.

Good point tbaus........ that gyro needs to placed vertically and not laid on its back like the ESKY one. I did the exact same thing setting up mine and had to use the helifreak hdx300 set up vid by Finless to find my issue. As soon as I mounted it vertically............ it was rock solid except the slight subtrim adjustments.
With a stock TX, you will have to get it pretty close to begin with and then use the rudder subtrim slider to adjust. The video will show the basics using a futaba Tx but just think of the subtrim menu as your slider on the stock TX. It should work ok until you get the JR set up.
