To much play in feathering shaft

Got a small problem with the F shaft and blade grip. Got it all together last night after a little crash,

But now I cant seem to get the blades to line up when I spool it up. I got tape(red/white) on the blades an I can clearly see two blades when i get the speed up a bitt(they are lined up at low rpm, but when I give some more rpm they start to get out of line. But I had to adjust the linkage out of the box when i got it, so I thougt just some small adjustments to the linkage now and it would be good to go.
But no matter what I do, either the red marked one is higher (and then I adjust i bitt) and then the white marked is higher.
So I looked at the shaft and the grips, and if I take the blade and bend it gently up and down I notice there is a great deal of play, seems to me that the o rubber rings are to shoft, and there is a limit as to how tight I can screw the 5,5 nutts to the shaft .Anybody tried to swich them with other brands? I will try to rebuild the shaft as you guys figure this one out 4 me..

try the align 450se ones, they should fit and may be a bit harder. if that doesn't work then you can try the truebloodengineering ones but they are very stiff and meant for 3D.

hi sollie and druss...i believe you're right about the softness of the o-rings...also, in the second pic, i can see part of the spindle...you might try another o-ring on each side, or find a spacer (alum or steel washer) to go between the o-ring and grip bearing...after tightening the 5.5mm nuts, you want your blades to feather very freely (flybar to be floppy loose)...also, i believe you want to see 2 or 3 threads of the spindle showing after tightening the nuts evenly...good luck...btw, you did change the spindle after the crash, right? ken
