Where should I be buying things?
I purchased my HBK2 from www.rc711.com before I realized that I was buying from a company based out of Hong Kong. My item was supposed to ship within 24 hours of purchase (I bought it Monday morning). I get an email today (Saturday) that it was sent finally. That's crazy, took a week to get it in the mail and their communication has been weak at best.
I'm wondering, where does everyone shop that does NOT have a LHS (because I do not have an LHS)? I have tried www.helidirect.com and had really good results with them so far.

RE: Where should I be buying things?
I go with e-bay when I have patience to wait more than 2 weeks up to a month.
Other than that, I prefer ushobbysupply.com
They got real quick and good service.
All the question is answered in 24hrs unless if its the weekend.
From Canada, I get the parts bought there within 2 weeks. From the day i order, the longest it has been to be in my hands wass 9 days.

RE: Where should I be buying things?
For any orders of $50 or more, I buy from Xheli.com
Shipping is free with coupon code CJFREE2
They seem to have the most complete inventory for direct factory replacement parts. I've ordered a lot of stuff from them, and have had very few problems.
For smaller orders, look around for places that charge only a couple of bucks for shipping. I've ordered upgrades from EBoyzToyz, SlickZero & some others that have reasonable prices on parts & also cheap shipping. Other places that seem to always do a good job for upgrades are KA Planes, & Boomtown Hobbies, the Hobby E-store.
Look around a little & add up your total purchase price, which includes shipping. Often, the guy with the lowest shipping charges has a little higher unit parts pricing. Add parts + shipping together & buy from the one with the lowest price.
For other stuff like Lama batteries, metal upgrades, unbreakable blades, I just plan ahead & buy from DealExtreme. Shipping is free, but delivery is usually a week or 2, since they ship out of Hong Kong.
