Is there anybody out there that is planning on coming to this event? We are hoping for a nice turn-out.
The weather has been good for the first three years and everybody has had a good time.

I am looking for a June 22nd date. How wide is the grass runway? 35 feet is a bit narrow for a big plane or any plane for that matter. Need more field info.

Admittedly you have to be able to "hit the spot" to some degree to land on a 35' wide strip of asphalt. However, the transition from the asphalt to the grass is relatively seamless. The grass strip is, of course, directly adjacent to the asphalt taxiway and is probably another 30 to 40 feet wide. Honestly, we have not had any trouble in the past. I have flown off this exact strip many times with only one mishap. That being I ran into a taxiway marker light. Now, we remove the marker lights for our events.
