Default lightnin bug finished finally

Ok guys this was a chore, beefups, mods etc, etc, tail wheel added to replace skid, right now side window on with scotch tape it will still fly when my tiny pan head
screws come from microfasters they will hold it on and the overhang of the clear plastic past the openings will get a white touchup
this will allow much better access to interior if needed everything inside modular mounted on plywood plates servo tray tank tray screwed
to wood rails thus easy service if needed for the folks that have not seen it that is a PAW 06 diesel martin

I have an other one on consignment at a LHS , I may pull it out for a spare there are no more

Very nice Martin, you only have one peg to hold the wing down at the front though?
I don't fly RC so is that a bit unusual?

Looks good, not too many real modellers out there anymore.

One dowel in the front if you want a pointy windshied.

Very much so and a weak point to top it off the dowel was glued into that thin front to only half its diameter
they were known to fail wing comes off now a powered lawn dart
I built up on ether side then put a piece of thin ply over the whole thing, if you look thru the windscreen that black
rod (there are two , one on each side 1/16 carbon fibre rod going thru the top at an angle and glues into blocks
inside each side of the fus thus A framed to the fus no flex now martin
cannot believe they made it that way martin
Note due to design if they had used a dowel all the way thru on front no solid bulkhead to support it very thin construction it would fail not enough meat there
their method (stock) was no better, there are 1/8 short sticks glued to the bottom of the wing ( bottom) where it lines up to prevent any shifting inside top of the fus
This the first I have ever seen on the 3 point attachment thing

On dowels like that I like to drill a hole through the dowel and put a nail in going the length of the dowel, it only helps if the dowel stays in the bulkhead though.[X(]

Good idea however it would have been into nothing on the front, and diameter of the rear one not large enough, might take long wired brads though pretty good idea or more 1/16 carbon fibre rods thx martin
