Mineral spirits to replace kerosene in my home brew Diesel fuel mix.

Will mineral spirits work as well as kerosene in my Diesel fuel mix? The smell of burned kerosene was very severe today.

I don't think mineral spirits will work but scented lamp oil will. Get it at a hardware store or farm supply.
It may be the ether that is causing such a strong smell.

Mineral Spirits vs. Kerosene costs.

I priced these two items today and found that MS costs $12.00 per quart. and Kerosene costs $8.00 per gallon. It does not smell that bad!
