I just put the conversion head on, and I was surprised to find the original head screws wouldn't turn in all the way. This left the head loose.
True, I could shorten the screws. But I took a good look at the head and can see the screw holes are counterbored so there's only about 1/32" of meat left on the head at the bottom where it mates with the block. Is this right - or were the headbolt holes counterbored too deep?
I'm trying to get in touch with Bob but the website isn't working for me at the moment.
Engine is an OS 46 LA
Tnx for any input -

This fellow was willing to admit the mistake and fix it? Wow, he's going to make "Made in America" mean something again! Errors happen, but good customer service is invaluable. Go Davis Diesel!
